As a therapist, I will work with you non-judgmentally and collaboratively to help you grow and move beyond your difficulties – drawing on my professional therapeutic training and experience.
As well as supporting clients with a range of issues in private practice, I have clinical experience working with young adults in a Higher Education setting, and in a specialist trauma counselling service for people who had experienced sexual abuse. Before training as a therapist, I volunteered at The Listening Place in central London with people who no longer felt that life was worth living.
My masters research was themed around music and therapy, including the personal meanings of songs, and where appropriate I draw upon clients' creative interests to further our therapeutic work together.
Alongside being a therapist in private practice I work in professional learning and development, specialising in mental health and wellbeing at work, and leadership development. This has provided understandings around the search for a purposeful career, developing personal resources for wellbeing, and managing stress in the workplace.
As a practitioner I'm fully insured, and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO reference number: ZB388752).
I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice according to their ethical framework.
